House Warming a.k.a. Kenduri :)

It's now 1140pm. Alhamdulillah my house warming has officially ended just now as the last guest left the door. 50 guests were expected, and alhamdulillah almost all turned up. The food does not matter. I think something more important was achived today. A strengthened ukhuwwah amongst the sisters here, alhamdulillah.

I arrived home at 10am, 2 hours before my very own house warming started. I had some business at a friend's place, and did my cooking part at my friend's house. When i reached home, i felt very touched that 2 of my friends whom i hardly know had decided to volunteer and help us set up the place. Everybody was so helpful and i felt the environment was filled with love - sisterhood love. The love for Islam. It was really beautiful.

Then my friends from Canberra, Brisbane, Clayton and Qaanitaat arrived. They all arrived almost at the same time. Then my neighbours came. They were from Greek, Cyprus, and Italy. Then my landlord arrived with soem cakes. It was sooo beautiful. :)

But when one of my neighbour arrived i was not aware of it and i was not wearing my hijab, and i quickly wore it after that, though they were all old grandmothers. But she saw me without it. And i didn't feel comfortable because later she mentioned about my hijab. And then she wanted to see it again also after i had worn it on.

Recalling my experience when me and my friend knocked at the nearest neighbours' doors to invite them over. There was a house which looked empty, and when we were about to ring the bell, we saw a sign "Jehova Witnesses are not allowed to enter..bla..bla."
And me and my friend thought "Oh no, we are muslims! They must hate us more!". And we ran as fast as we could. Scary. Then we asked the neighbouring neighbour about that house, and she mentioned the people living there is not very friendly.

And there was a neighbour who actually said "I am sorry, i can't do that." when we invited her over. Maybe she is a staunch Christian and can't accept a Muslim's invitation? Hmmm. And there was one neighbour whose dog was the first one to greet us at the door. It was scary. And there were some neighbours whom we couldn't keep in touch. And some whom couldn't make it because of work. :(

All in all, it's been a good day. I hoped that others had achieved something more than just good food today. I certainly have. They say small things can be made big things because of our intentions. And big things can be made trivial stuffs because of our intention too. If we came just for food, than that is all we got from it. A full stomach. But if we came because of Allah, then we will go home with something more than just food. But rewards for the HereAfter too. So let us all always renew our intentions so that our life will not just end meaninglessly in this world. For there is a much longer life after this. An everlasting one. Let us let it be our goal, and this world as a medium to reach it.

The (material) things which ye are given are but the conveniences of this life and the glitter thereof; but that which is with Allah is better and more enduring: will ye not then be wise? Al-Quran-28:60

Assalamualaikum wbt...

I just came back from Wilson Promontory for the second time this week. Alhamdulillah, there was not many problems the first time... recalling what had happened. It was a pretty scary experience in the beginning since the first trip consists of just all girls. Qaanitaat and Qaanitaat II(?). Melbourne city and Clayton's sisters joined the trip. Our first session apart from eating was that we had a war game. Nikster became the panglima perang this time. We trekked the small hill to the other side into Sqeaky Beach. When we reached the beach, subhanallah, it was a really beautiful experience. It was sooo beautiful. I might insert some pictures later after my pictures are washed. I noticed the beautiful pattern the waves created on the sand.. one of Allah swt's artistic features of nature. And watching the waves splashing on the rocks and the beach, all those mighty waves. Beautiful. Just beautiful. I got wet from my toes to my waist while playing on the beach. A friend of mine commented on the beautiful waves. It's such a wonder how these waves are constantly generated by itself... for humans to generate waves that huge and constantly, we need to build a really (100x) huge motor to generate waves of the pacific or atlantic ocean. Imagine if the sea had no waves at all, and it was human's duty to generate them to equalize the ecosystem. I can't imagine how huge a motor we would need to do that task. But Allah has eased that task for us by creating waves. It's just one of His signs and blessings. Yet, humans are always not thankful. Astaghfirullah...

The night before, during the "Heart to heart" session with our friends, a lot of emotions were shared. The Clayton sisters were probably very new to us and not much personal emotions were shared, compared to Qaanitaat i think. That was when i got a picture of the background of Qaanitaat before we were destined to meet in Australia early last year. I had also known them, but not all of them had shared their deep emotions with me. Or there were some stories i knew of, and some i didn't. Qaanitaat came from very different backgrounds, some from the city, some from the rural areas. There are those from full boarding school and was taught with complete ibadah knowledge.. and those like me and nik who didn't have that sort of opportunity and had lots of catching up to do here. But despite all these differences, we are united, because of Islam. Because of that, there exists a very beautiful sisterhood between us. The sisterhood of Islam. No bond stronger than this can unite us this firmly. This is the bond of Islam. I still remembered nikster's words which we so beautiful, it's like when she said it, there was magic and sparkles everywhere. It was the truth, it did not just happen to her. Even though she was the only one who expressed it verbally. I do admire nikster for her abilities to put lots of her feelings into words, an ability where there is a lot of room of improvement to be done for me. I still remember one of our first meetings, where we gathered together to seek knowledge in Allah's path. It was the journey of our soul. It was a self discovery and wake up process.

My story was almost like another friend's. I had no problems with studies, was always a teacher's pet. I am sure many of my friends went through the same thing in high school here. My results was always one of the best. And my peak period during my high school lifetime was in form 3 and form 5 where me and my friends managed to win many awards for our school. I was considered a good girl not because i was religious. I wasn't. It was because i was a good student. A book worm. That was me. I did all these things for the certificate, so i can study overseas, get a good job, get married.. have kids. A typical life for those who do not understand that there is more to life that just "myself.."... even when the Prophet Muhammad saw passed away.. his last words were "Ummati..ummati.." ,"my nation..my nation". How selfish i was!

Then i came to Australia. My whole life changed. I still remember when Uncle used to talk about Islam to us. He explained clearly what is islam... what is being a muslim about... how beautiful islam is.. when you say laila hailallah, what does it really mean. I remember nikster explained it something like this. And by this time, i felt there were sparkles around her. This process to get to know Islam happened until i started to ask myself, "have i really been a good muslim?". It was time to change. I have seen many sisters being so selfless for Islam, and I totally respected them. But it never occured to me to be like them someday. But Allah had other plans for me and my friends. Allah knows best.

That was how we met. Though as time passed one by one of us could not pull it through and had to pull out, but the bits of pieces that are left are starting to be put together again. The picture is becoming clearer, if it hadn't already has. Allah had made it happen. And Allah will make it happen someday, insya Allah. It is His promise. And Allah always keeps His promise. Though we may not be able to see it happen, but the chain of Islam must go on. Islam Will Prevail.

"Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion - the one which He has chosen for themand that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: 'They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me. 'If any do reject Faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked. " An-Nuur:55

Mari kita ambil ayat-ayat berikut:

"Ni yang aku bengang sangat nih" : permulaan ayat saja cukup menunjukkan kawan kita nih sudah kurang rasional, akibat emosi telah mengawal dirinya daripada membuat pertimbangan yang wajar - kirenya dia tak pikir dulu sblom dia cakap... main lepas je... oleh tuh... marilah kita sama2 mengawal emosi agar kekal rasional..

"adela orang yang nak kecoh-kecoh.. selamber je sound aku psl awek2 nih" : masyarakat kita telah distereotypekan dengan "tidak baik jaga tepi kain orang".. dalam Islam isu tepi kain orang tak timbul.. malah tepi kain orang tu macam tepi kain sendiri pulak... maknanye dalam Islam kita kena saling tegur-menegur antara satu sama lain... ingat x surah wal Asr?? (berpesan-pesan dengan kebenaran)... dalam al-Quran dah jelas mengenai kepentingan "menjaga tepi kain orang nih"... bile kita buat x kisah je ape orang lain buat, itulah yang timbul isu sumbang mahram, penderaan kanak-kanak, buang anak semua tuh sebab orang sebelah rumah tuh separate entity... "diorang nak buang anak diorang punya pasallah... buat ape kita nak masuk campur"... sebagai orang Islam yang mengakui keimanannya terhadap Allah, marilah kita ubah persepsi masyarakat kita hari ini... lepas nih marilah kita saling ambil tahu sesama insan.. dan ingat... itu tanggungjawab tau.. kalo x tego, kita tanggung dosa tau..

"ape salah aku?? aku x cari psl ngan orang?? aku x curi barang orang pon?? aku x hisap dadah pon?? aku x bunuh orang pon?? aku couple je... bukan buat ape pon... " : ini adalah penyakit masyarakat kita... diorang ingat yang jenayah tuh hanyalah jenayah sivil je... jenayah dunia... jenayah yang hukumnya telah jelas diwartakan oleh kerajaan... curi barang, bunuh orang... sedangkan jenayah dari segi undang-undang tuhan diorang x sedar??? maybe sebab salah pemerintah sebab x amalkan hukum Islam sepenuhnya... or salah kawan kita nih... kata dapat SPM A??? camne nih?? ataupon ini salah sistem pendidikan kita??? last2 kita salahkan keadaan... ape nih??? x ke mana penyelesaiannya... sepatutnya ilmu agama kat skolah tuh dah kasi basic giler ahh psl Islam... kita patut amalkan, jangan sekadar nak dapat A je?? A tuh x bawak kemana selagi tidak diamalkan... kita x leh nak nilai Islam kita, melainkan dengan iman dan amal.. tu pon still subjective coz Allah saje yang tahu..

"aku keluar ngan dia, kita tgk wayang sama-sama kt TGV... pegi makan sama2... study sama2... aku xdepon buat ape pon kat dia... x cium pon... ala.. pegang tangan skit2 tuh xde bende lah" : contoh mudah mengapa Allah x kasi kita bercouple melainkan selepas berkahwin.... kita tgk camne jalan cerita atau kronologi kawan kita nih.. mula2 keluar, tgk wayang, makan2, study sama2... lepastu pegang tangan... telah jelas dalam Islam bahawa pegang tangan antara lelaki dan perempuan yang bukan mahram tuh haram... kalo hendak ditelitikan, mari kita tengok betapa bahayanya perbuatan kawan kita nih... istilah lain bagi perlakuan dia ialah "mendekati zina"... kalo nak diikutkan, Allah cakap mendekati zina tuh haram... itu blom berzina tuh... mendekati zina tuh bukan bermakna buat seks, kirenye bende2 sebelom tuh pon termasuk kepada mendekati zina... cube kita bayangkan kawan kita nih dari mula dia start bercouple hingga dia pegang tangan awek dia, dia sedikit demi sedikit menuju ke arah yang satu... iaitu melakukan seks luar nikah...

"aku rase aku dah cukup alim nih.. mane x nyer aku x penah buat seks pon ngan awek aku... " : hahaahah.... orang alim x cakap yg dia tuh alim... ape la lu nih??? memangla ko tak penah buat seks ngan awek ko... ko cakap untuk konteks masa ini... ko tak tau pon mase depan ko buat seks ngan dia ke??? ko ingat macam makan kacang ke kawal nafsu tuh??? nafsu makan orang yang dilemahkan dengan puasa sebulan di bulan ramadhan pon bile raye je terus macam singa... ini kan pula nafsu berahi... tunggu mase je nak buat seks tuh... itulah sebabnya Allah tegah sekeras-kerasnya bende nih.. tiada kompromi...

"korang ingat korang je yang belajar agama?? aku pon belajar jugak ahh... aku pon dapat A mase SPM dulu... x heran ahh..." : sila rujuk penjelasan no 3...

"korang sape nak sound2 aku nih?? korang ingat korang bagus sangat ke?? alim sangat ke korang nih??? dah xde keje lain ke nak buat?? x leh tgk orang lain hidop senang ke??" : sila rujuk penjelasan no 2...

Yahya Ayyash - "The Genius"

Yahya Ayyash.

“The Fox”, “The Genius” and “The Engineer” were all nicknames that the Israeli press used to describe Yahya Ayyash, the tough and talented Palestinian field leader, who inflicted heavy losses on the Israelis.

Ayyash was born in Rafat village near Ram Allah in 1966, and graduated as an electrical engineer from Beir Zeit University in 1991. He led the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas (Islamic Resistance Movement), where he earned the title “The Engineer” for his proficiency in making bombs, mines, and remote-controlled explosives.

Shin Beth (Israel’s internal security) and Mossad agents tracked Ayyash for at least five years, and he survived dozens of failed bids to arrest him. His tenacity became so renowned that Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin is alleged to have said in a cabinet meeting: “I am afraid that Ayyash is among us right now.”

On 5 January 1996, Israeli intelligence succeeded in assassinating him using a tracking technique new to them at the time. Ayyash was killed by a remote-controlled booby-trapped cellular telephone.

Just a while ago a sister sighed about a part of her bounty in this world being "narrowed". She is a very good sister masya allah and i reminded her of the ayat which is often mentioned in the Quran "Laa khaufun 'alaihim walaahum yahzanuun" - Tiada ketakutan bagi mereka dan tiada pula mereka berdukacita. Though I knew she understood that kalimah better than I did. But sometimes we humans also need to remind each other because our hearts change directions very easily. But I understood her sadness, as it was a typical feeling amongst students. But life is not a bed of roses, it never was for those who lived and fought in Allah's cause. Neither was it for those whose hearts have been caught by the worldly passions, they just desire more and more - never satisfied. But at least these hearts who constantly remembered Allah was always at ease... no matter how rough trials were. They know Allah is always with them and to Him is the final return. Even atheists, and those who have been busied with the decorations of these world and have came at a point in life where they doubt if Allah exists... if they were on Titanic when it was about to sink, they will all plead to God to save them. The thick layer of atheism around their hearts will break instantly. It reminds me of Pharoah when Allah made his boat sink. He was an ardent opposer of Prophet Moses as... but when his boat was sinking, he finally admitted that he believed in the God of Moses. But it was too late.

Do we really want to wait until it is too late. That's humans weakness. We procrastinate. But it all comes from syaithan. My friend told me once that it was too early to change, as at such a nice age... - teen age, there were so many things to see and do. Or maybe they haven't received "God's call" yet. If they die tomorrow, and God asked them why didn't they obey him, and they gave that reason,...hmmm... I wonder. Islam came down to eliminate other sort of submissions, except to Him. During the jahiliyyah times, those submissions would include their Gods.. Latta and Uzza. But these modern times there are new sort of submissions, such as cars, money, big houses, big positions..etc. One would just remember Allah during prayer, and after that life would go on as if Islam was just on the prayer mat, and was not practical to be implemented outside. If Prophet Muhammad pbuh saw was one reason for Islam to reign supreme, than Allah would have just made him live forever. But Propet Muhammad pbuh died, and Allah left the Quran instead.

There are 1.3 billion muslims and 34 million jews. If each muslim became a mosquitoe, and attacked Bush, or 50% attacked Bush and 50% attacked Ariel Sharon, they would both die wouldn't you think? That's just a mosquitoe, not a bee.

Muslims today are weaker than mosquitoes.

Untuk sahabat karibku.... Maafkanlah diriku sekiranya melukai hatimu tanpa disedari. Teruskan bekerja..teruskan bekerja.. teruskan bekerja...

Sahabat yang ku kasihi

Sahabat yang kukasihi
mengapakah engkau menyepi..
walau ku tahu ukhuwwah yang dicipta
antara kita berdua
adalah lillahi ta'ala
namun benarkah
sehingga kini diriku dibiar sahaja
namun kutahu
maksudmu bukan begitu
keadaan telah memaksa
aku menjadi mangsa

sahabat yang dikasihi
mengapakah engkau menyepi
diriku merinduimu
namun jika diberi pilihan
antara persahabatan dunia
dan ukhuwwah berdasarkan
agama ikatan
maka Allahlah pilihanku
dan aku tahu
itu juga pilihanmu

Sahabat yang ku kasihi
mengapakah engkau menyepi
aku telah menjumpai
persahabatan dan ukhuwwah ilahi
dalam dirimu ukhti
dan ikatan ini
menjadi lebih bererti
tetapi kau telah menyepi.

Sahabat yang kukasihi
mengapakah engkau menyepi
mungkinkah kita diciptakan
menghadapi situasi berbeza
kau sudah lama mengerti
sedangkan
diriku baru mengenali
namun tindakanmu ini
membuatkanku kurang pasti.

Sahabat yang ku kasihi
sungguhpun kau menyepi
biarlah diriku ungkapkan kata-kata ini
inni uhibbuki fillah
"Saya menyintaimu kerana Allah"
bertemu dan berpisah keranaNya
begitulah permulaan kita
aku berharap begitu jualah
pengakhirannya.

Bilderberg: The ultimate conspiracy theory

By Jonathan Duffy
BBC News Online

The Bilderberg group, an elite coterie of Western thinkers and power-brokers, has been accused of fixing the fate of the world behind closed doors. As the organisation marks its 50th anniversary, rumours are more rife than ever.
Given its reputation as perhaps the most powerful organisation in the world, the Bilderberg group doesn't go a bundle on its switchboard operations.

Telephone inquiries are met with an impersonal female voice - the Dutch equivalent of the BT Callminder woman - reciting back the number and inviting callers to "leave a message after the tone".

Anyone who accidentally dialled the number would probably think they had stumbled on just another residential answer machine.

Leiden in Holland, the inauspicious base of the Bilderberg group
But behind this ultra-modest façade lies one of the most controversial and hotly-debated alliances of our times.

On Thursday the Bilderberg group marks its 50th anniversary with the start of its yearly meeting.

For four days some of the West's chief political movers, business leaders, bankers, industrialists and strategic thinkers will hunker down in a five-star hotel in northern Italy to talk about global issues.

What sets Bilderberg apart from other high-powered get-togethers, such as the annual World Economic Forum (WEF), is its mystique.

Not a word of what is said at Bilderberg meetings can be breathed outside. No reporters are invited in and while confidential minutes of meetings are taken, names are not noted.

The shadowy aura extends further - the anonymous answerphone message, for example; the fact that conference venues are kept secret. The group, which includes luminaries such as Henry Kissinger and former UK chancellor Kenneth Clarke, does not even have a website.

DISCREET AND ELITE
This year Bilderberg has announced a list of attendees
They include BP chief John Browne, US Senator John Edwards, World Bank president James Wolfensohn and Mrs Bill Gates

In the void created by such aloofness, an extraordinary conspiracy theory has grown up around the group that alleges the fate of the world is largely decided by Bilderberg.

In Yugoslavia, leading Serbs have blamed Bilderberg for triggering the war which led to the downfall of Slobodan Milosevic. The Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, the London nail-bomber David Copeland and Osama Bin Laden are all said to have bought into the theory that Bilderberg pulls the strings with which national governments dance.

And while hardline right-wingers and libertarians accuse Bilderberg of being a liberal Zionist plot, leftists such as activist Tony Gosling are equally critical.

A former journalist, Mr Gosling runs a campaign against the group from his home in Bristol, UK.

"My main problem is the secrecy. When so many people with so much power get together in one place I think we are owed an explanation of what is going on.

Timothy McVeigh was among those who believed the conspiracy theory
Mr Gosling seizes on a quote from Will Hutton, the British economist and a former Bilderberg delegate, who likened it to the annual WEF gathering where "the consensus established is the backdrop against which policy is made worldwide".

"One of the first places I heard about the determination of US forces to attack Iraq was from leaks that came out of the 2002 Bilderberg meeting," says Mr Gosling.

But "privacy, rather than secrecy", is key to such a meeting says Financial Times journalist Martin Wolf, who has been invited several times in a non-reporting role.

"The idea that such meetings cannot be held in private is fundamentally totalitarian," he says. "It's not an executive body; no decisions are taken there."

As an up-and-coming statesmen in the 1950s, Denis Healey, who went on to become a Labour chancellor, was one of the four founding members of Bilderberg (which was named after the hotel in Holland where the first meeting was held in 1954).

The alternative - the WEF welcomes journalists
His response to claims that Bilderberg exerts a shadowy hand on the global tiller is met with characteristic bluntness. "Crap!"

"There's absolutely nothing in it. We never sought to reach a consensus on the big issues at Bilderberg. It's simply a place for discussion," says Lord Healey.

Formed in the spirit of post-war trans-Atlantic co-operation, the idea behind Bilderberg was that future wars could be prevented by bringing power-brokers together in an informal setting away from prying eyes.

"Bilderberg is the most useful international group I ever attended. The confidentiality enabled people to speak honestly without fear of repercussions.

"In my experience the most useful meetings are those when one is free to speak openly and honestly. It's not unusual at all. Cabinet meetings in all countries are held behind closed doors and the minutes are not published."

That activists have seized on Bilderberg is no surprise to Alasdair Spark, an expert in conspiracy theories.

"The idea that a shadowy clique is running the world is nothing new. For hundreds of years people have believed the world is governed by a cabal of Jews.

"Shouldn't we expect that the rich and powerful organise things in their own interests. It's called capitalism."

Siapa Tahu Maksud Allah?

Jangan-jangan Allah menghabiskan tabungan kebaikan kita.
